wow thank you alot i really appricate you typing this out for us, i went crazy looking for a way to get my sata enabled on this laptop since i recenetly had to reformat this computer because i just hated Window Vista, so i installed Window xp and since i first installed it i had it disabled through bios, then i wanted to reanable it, and if it wasn't for your article i would of probably not of figured it out, i always had the files just that every time i would run the setup it would'nt do nothing just close up on me,so i decided to download winimage and use the "F6flpy32" file and get a copy of all the files on there and transfer to a foilder called "driver" that i created in C:\swsetup\SP32492, and then i followed the rest of your instructions which worked out just perfect thank you.
